i got a y8 fuel rail, and a dsm 450 blue tops.

the injectors are shorter, so the fuel rail retaining bolts are too long.

anyone come across this problem? what did u do... please help. thanks

 

They fit fine for many many people. Are you sure you have the correct injectors?

 

i am sure. they are blue. however they are about 1/4 inch shorter than my y8 injectors....

 

twist the studs out that mount the fuel rail and use bolts.

they shouldnt be that much shorter really tho, I question what injectors you really have. In reality the color means jack ----, do they say 450 somewhere on them?

somethings not right that's for sure? I've never heard of fitment issues.

 

Blue tops says B450L I think.

 

hmmm let me go take pictures of them.

 

mine were too tall, and i think that is normal, so unless you were using aftermarket injectors before, these do not seem like 450's

 

its about the size of the seal difference.

i am just iffy on putting the things on without the fuelrail retaining bolts, and the rail comes off. i dont got any bolts at the moment to hold it all together. i got a zap strap on 1 side.. and thats all i could find...
