Where the hell can I find a NEW internal wastegate for my Turbonetics T3? I've looked all over the place and can only really find external gates. I'm not wanting to do an external gate yet so that doesn't help me. Anybody know of any place online where I can find a NEW, 5 or 7lb adjustable/non-adjustable internal wastegate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have an 11lb internal gate if anyone wants to trade? hehe.

 

Why dont you just lengthen the rod if you want to lower the boost

 

Because I hate lag. I've already done that which is why I'm looking for a 5 or 7 lb internal.

 

i wonder if you could pull the one off the IHI turbo that has it set at 5.5 stock ..jsut a thought not sure if you cold make it work.

 

as i understand it the saab 900's have about a 6-7psi wastegate

are you being serious? it's the thing that opens up and let's the pressure out of the turbo one it reaches a certain boost level. an external wastegate can be adjusted with a boost controller, an internal has to be adjusted by shortening or lenthening the actuator rod. all turbos come with an internal wastegate (i think), to use an external, you block off the internal wastegate flapper via your downpipe and disconnect your actuator

 

whats the max boost that you can adjust a saab wastegate to ? or should I say can it be adjusted to higher than the factory settings?
