yes, another "what turbo do i use thread" , what does "too small" do??
ok so im new on here and i cant seem to find the effects of a turbo being to small on an engine,
im going to be running a probe with a mazda klze jdm engine in it... thats 200hp and 165 tq. V6 too i might add...
obviously a rhb5 turbo or t25 is too small, but what does that mean?.. it will spin to fast and seize, or will a stock wastegate prevent that.. or does it mean it will just not produce boost, since im running 6 cyl and all does it mean that a rhb5 would only give me about 4 or 5 psi instead of 7?... and at lower rpms or what?...
if anything could someone please point me in the right direction of picking out a factory turbo that will produce about 7 psi on a stock internals.

when people say its too small is that it will spool VERY quickly and will be choked before you even hit your redline.
since you have a v6(or are getting one) are you gona do a TT setup? that would be the best thing to do imo, and the t25 should be good enough to satisfy you.

i did think about a twin setup, but i really just want to go with a single...
we just turboed my friends probe, with a klze swap using the stock manifold and a t-25, i was suprise at how decent the car moves with that small turbo, but still the turbo doesnt hold all the way throuhg, hes upgrading to a big 16g this month, ill try and get some pics.
how much boost did he get out of that?

You would get a LOT more information if you checked out the Forced Induction forum at http://forums.probetalk.com
i've checked out the f/i on probe talk, infact im on pt about everyday, but i couldnt find the answer to this on there... i dont really like probetalks search bar, its not narrow enough,
i've been non stop researching factory turbos for 2 days and i think i've decided to keep my eye open for a 1st gen dsm turbo, due to its slower spooling...and whatever factory intercooler i can get my hand on for the cheapest

I think the most common factory "big" turbo is a T3 63/60 off a thunderbird. I almost suggest that turbo for all cars ever made. lol
It'll be a hell of a lot easier to find the flanges, lines, ect.. for that one than the CT26.
