Alright im out of ideas here!!
I have done everything i can think of to get my turbo to boost to 10 psi and I just cant get it to happen.
Ive done LOTS of leak testing, and everything is pretty tight. There is a slight leak coming from two couplers due to busted worm gear clamps. Thats it as far as i have been able to tell. Ive got the wastegate completly sealed im 99% sure of that. Ive tested the wastegate with the vacuume sorce removed and it didnt change anything. Im out of ideas, SO if anyone has any suggestions please throw them my way. Im thinking about taking this to a near by performance shop and letting them diagnose/fix it.

you check for exhaust leaks...one of the bolts on the back side of my mani came loose and i never new it untill i took the turbo off, i also had a leak where my ext gate bolted on, i couldn't get over 5-6psi and it held steady but my gate had a 9psi spring in it...but then my turbo destroyed it self anyways...but seems it could be exhaust related, not spooling th turbo enought o produce 10psi...where is your boost guage hooked up at, of the compressor side or off the intake mani?

 

forgot to say its a d16 z6 with a 14b turbo, HF manifold, it does a very SLOW 5 psi right now, ive got to be mashing the gas and it wont reach 5 till 4th gear. Its on a 94 Del Sol Si

Boost guage is hooked up off of the IM to the brake booster. How i do i check for an exahaust leak? I dont see a leak, nor do i hear an exhaust leak.

 

only 5psi and not til 5th gear. you got mad leaks lol or your wg is a piece of ---- and its opening before u start boosting. does it act the same exact way with the wg line off? is ur bov leaking?

fix all ur piping issues. this is why i recommend only 3 connecters per pipe. 1 on ec, 1 in the middle, 1 on other end throttle body/turbo so a total of 6 so you have less chance for leaks/finding a leak

cheak for exhaust leaks at the head, at the turbo, check all bolts, change gaskets,

last change ur wg if all else fails. check for shaft play in the turbo. maybe its just a piece of ------ ---- turbo. on my friends t25 the turbo crapped out and even with zero leaks n a workin wg it wouldn't boost past 3psi because it was just that fucked up.
