Default D16z6 Safc or Vafc????

I was thinking that since the car is only sohc then I wouldn't need the vafc to controll high and low cams................is this correct Also can I use either to monitor boost and air/fuel instead of actually buying an air/fuel guage or boost guage??
THanks
Spencer

If you don't need to adjust VTEC, the S-AFC will do.

It acts as a boost and AF gauge, yes. But. It doesn't read in psi, so you have to learn to think in kg/cm^3 or whatever other unit you set it for. Also, you can't read AF and boost at the same time - AF gets stuck on some wierd sensor check screen, and isn't part of the monitor screen. Well, unless you can convert MAP volts to pressure. :>

i have a 98 hx with vtec-e. if you dont know what that is its the economical version of vtec so it kicks in at like 3200 or 3300 and isnt very powerful. would it make a differance to have to vafc over the safc?
