Default my 11 psi ignition timing map (picture), D16Z6, P28

had to do it like a picture ... cause I can't post it like an Excel file, sorry, it's kinda big this way



just made it ... it's like 1 deg/1psi retard ... and I'm gonna convert it onto my EManage, I'll post that one later cause it's kinda confusing ..

- in the gray area that's the stock timing map for P28, from uberdata
- in the blue area that's my extension for boost up to 11 psi (stock MAP sensor)
- there are missing spaces in the blue area due to the EManage timing map, it goes by from 500 to 8000 RPM by 500
- the thick lines show: where the turbo can't spool; and the second one is for the red RPM zone

anyways, tell me what do you think about it

I don't think it looks too bad. Just listen for any detonation but I think you should be all set. Your fuel maps will play a big part in this too. What Injectors are you running?

I have noticed when tuning d series they make more power with the timing around 16 degrees from around 9psi to 11 psi.. all thats done on the dyno not street.

depends on the D

D16Z6, like mine, has a base timing of 16 deg ...
D16Y engines have it at 12 deg...

anyways, people suggest that I up the timing for 1 - 3 psi at 28 deg. and leave the rest as is

i totally agree, i dont run any retard untill 5psi. Even at 11 psi, my timing is at 18*. When i was tuning and adding all that timing, the car just ------ woke up. Like adding 5 more pounds of boost.
