i was gonna send this to a friend, but what happened to it?

normally theres a stud and lock nut on top...

 

i believe he was ------- around adjusting it and stripped it out. only had a set of standard tap and dies so it was retapped and a standard bolt installed

 

i tightened the nut instead of lightening the sud,and stripped the threads. it was retapped and threaded and works the same. its easier to adjust now than the ------ allen key stud.
