Got a Garret Airesearch turbocharger (.42/.4 for sale. Has no oil leaks with minimal shaftplay, still spinning freely. I inspected the blades and inside the compressor and there are no scratches or scraps indicating signs of any shaft play.

how many miles would you say is on the turbo.

 

cmon man you think he really knows no one knows how many miles are on these junkyard .42 .48's you should know that. and if he does say it has xxx amount of miles im sure its out of his ***. Good luck with the sale!

 

Thanks for the resizing pictures turbohf but as for the miles on it, I have no clue. All I know is that it's still spinning freeley when i spin it which means the blade's not scraping the housing. I opened the compressor housing too and still see no signs of shaftplay cause the housing has no scratches on it. Inside it was also clean too when I first opened it so there were no oil leaks. No scraps in the compressor housing, no oil leaks, blades still spinning freeley, all I can say is the turbo still good to me.

Is it OBO? I was going to wait a while longer to start peicing my kit together but this might be nice.

 

Vouche. I bought the SAME exact turbo off this guy a while back for my set-up. Good guy to deal with and nice turbo. That is identical to mine only that has the extra piece on the compressor ideal for making an easy flared DP.
