Default which engine to turbo, d15b vtec, or d16z6?

OK, title prettymuch sums it up,
I'm thinking about which engine would be better to go with.
the d15b sohc vtec jdm engine(128hp) or the d16z6 (125hp)

now the d15 has a .2 higher compression ratio,
but slightly higher power output and it should way a bit less(at least thats what i figure).

but I can see the d16z6 being more reliable, due to its slightly lower compression ratio..

both engines are cheap, but I can see the d16 being cheaper because its a "local" engine.. can probly get a tranny thrown in for free.

For engine management I plan on an SMC500 and bigger injectors.. maybe walbro pump.. but i'm not sure because SMC's site says you dont need it.

what do you guys think?
I should also note this is for future refrence, cuz I'm just going to go ahead and boost my current d15b7(non vtec) motor... so if it blows I wana kno wut i should upgrade to, hehe.

THANKS!

well u could be differant and boost the d15b, i think a d16z6 is a lot cheaper then a stupid d15b.

i would do the d16z6.

I would go with the D16 just because it is bigger. I have a D15B7 and I would turn my back on it in a heartbeat. I don't think anything is wrong with it, its just small, weak, pourly engineered, ugly, stupid, dumb, and its momma dress's it funny. :P

Hmmm, well I was talking about the d15b vtec not the d15b7
and all these engines are engineered practically the same, look identical, and perform very similarly.

however.. the d15bvtec is actually stronger than the d16z6...

but anyways.. back to my original question!!

z6

higher displacement, lower compression. better recipe for running more boost and making more power on a turbo car.

so the higher displacement helps with boost also?
