Default Boosting in 5th gear/now with pr0N

My car has been b00sted for a lil over a month now.. It runs really strong.... I took a friend for a ride, that owns a turbo LS Civic .. and i went though all the gears and he told me dont go to 5th gear... you blow the motor... just wanting to make sure that this is true and why?

My setup: B00sted B18b1 7psi

Your friend gave you good advice, I never do 5th gear pulls unless its in a built motor, or its running very little boost, or I'm on race gas. Just to risky.

It puts alot more stress and heat on the engine than it can handle in some cases and you could be looking at re-building if you do boost in 5th. Not saying this is so for everyone but like Abaz said on a stock engine it's not a wise idea.

More than likly not, but just make sure its tuned real good. Even with built motors I really never do rippers in 5th, maybe short bursts but thats it. It's not like fwd hondas feel safe over 120mphs anyways.
