k guys this maybe a lil newbie...but here we go...

new motor im working on is a d16a6 with pnp head,gude turbo cam,z6si tranny,stage3 clutch,lightened flywheel,hf manifold,14b turbo(also have a t3 48/60) go with one of those dont know yet,obx intake manifold, 62mm throttlebody,vitara pistons 8.5.1,stock rods and new bearings....what kind of boost cant he stock rods handle with lower compression pistons...?

 

i dontg think stock rods are any stronger than the stock pistons so i probley wouldnt go over 230-250 and that will probley be pushing it hard. you know theres a reason when evryone uses vitara pistons they replace the rods with a forged piece...

 

if your on a budget get some d16a1 rods or ls rods with new bushings.
