Default Soldering ECU Questions

What's a good solder type to use? rosin core/flux core tin/lead/silver etc...

Also, whats a good brand/type of flux to use? The kind I have right now gets sticky as ---- once it's heated

I have only ever use Rosin Core Lead or Lead Free Soldier. I think I usually get 16 or 18 guage.
