how do i rotate turbo?
i am working on a rhb5 off an 80s' loyale. rotating the intake housing is no problem. the exhaust side i can't figure out. it needs to be rotated because the oil return is pointing straight up. what do i do?
I don't think you can rotate the exhaust side.
The exhasut is going to end up where ever the manifold puts it.

You should be able to rotate the center so the return is pointing down, right?

Only three bolts? Hmmmmm.....is it used? Maybe it is just stuck. Give it hell, but be careful if it does give not to damage the fins. You really should keep the bolts in just incase.

it is used. the bolts are connected to the exhaust side but have flanges that i guess are suppose to hold it snug with the center. i figured i was suppose to take those loose and it would rotate.
hehe I think you loosened the wrong bolts. Are you loosening the ones that are on the extreme far side of the turbo? They should be in the middle of the entire turbo and there should be like 8 of them.

the intake side has that many bolts. turning that side is no prob. what i am looking at is the exhaust inlet flange is pointing straight up and the oil return is also pointing straight up. i need the oil return pointing down from what i understand.
Are you positive it's the oil return pointing up, and not the oil inlet
I know, stupid question, but hey it can happen. If it is the oil return and you have the bolts loose, just tap it a few times and see if it breaks loose to rotate the housing (center cartrige). If it's off of the car spray it down with some wd40 or something. That should get it loose.
