will a pan from a d15b1 fit any other d series motors??

 

All 88-00 pan's are interchangable. I just put a z6 pan on my b2, no problems.

they will fit, but you need to use the correct pickup that matches the pan.

Cloud, your pickup is likely to far off the bottom of the pan, subject to starvation issues.

 

Not all pans are interchangeble even with the right oil pick-up. My Y8 used an alluminum pan that doesn't match up with the oil pump studs on my D15B VTEC (used a stamped steel). So you would need to change oil pumps as well IF they bolted up in the first place.

 

all y-series sohc's use AL pans but everything else is interchangeable like legos. If you really want to use the AL pan then just get the oilpump and pickup but it's not worth it cause they are notorious for spinning rod bearings from oil starvation.
