Where do you guys get these things at for a decent price? Last time I tried to get some Onyx ripped me off. Looking for 10-15 of these, might wanna try a sst27sf512. I tried the sst27sf256's with no luck. I wasn't sure if the 512 worked for some reason the 256's didn't. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

The 512s work fine. Just make sure your programmer supports them, and use the upper memory bank (base device address of 0x8000, instead of 0x0000)

 

any reason why a 256 wouldn't work that you know of?

 

No.. possible jsut the wrong speed..

 

You HAVE to erase SST chips first to get them work right. (Says Craig Moates) I started to erase them and they worked fine. Xenocron and Craig helped out on that issue.
