Default B16 Block with a B18C Head

B16 with a B18C head
Has anyone put a GSR head on a SI block.
does it work?
what is the advantage of it?

i can only find si heads on gsr block in info.

normally people dont like the gsr head as much because it was harder to find a replica type r intake manifold to fit it. but now they have manifolds that fit it. it should be basically the same except for the water passages on the intake side are a little different. I was talking to a cylinder head porter and he said a stock gsr head flows just a little less than a stock b16 head. I dont know why but thats what he finds from flow benching them..but after they are ported they all flow the same. even type r heads..

The gsr head has a different port style and really unless you have it no reason to switch
