i'm sure a lot of u know about hondas new engine. 1.8L sohc putting around 200 hp. i just think its cool that they made a dohc 1.8 then managed to do it with a sohc. yay or nay to this engine?

if this is true and they made 200 hp with a sohc think what a dohc can do.

 

what model is it coming in? 200 seems like a good start.

Is this something thats gonna be in the new models for like this upcoming year? Honda is just releasing the new civic si and thats a k20(same as the rsx type-s) so I don't see why there would put out this new engine cause wouldn't it make people buy this 200hp sohc instead of spending more on the si? Maybe I didn't read too much in it at the store but I didn't see any of this. Give us a link to the article on the HT website.

i remember reading something about some new motor that was powerful for its kind. vtec of course

 

yea it has ivtec naturally. i think i read the new si will be tweaked a little diffrent than the type s motor. there gonna put out 22 thou si's a year. the new soch goes in the other coups like ex in about 2 years.

 

i read in honda tuning they said 140hp....i have the article in front of me...
