it depends on how you drive them, i honestly dont know how long as far as horsepower goes, but they should handle high 200's without just destroying, but like i said it really depends on how you drive them

I think they are about the same axles as my 94 civic had. I had 230whp and they held great.

yea..i was thinking about spending the money for lsd

you can find lsd for D series for like, 350 bucks, I see em on ebay every now and then. I had a JDM tranny, and came w/LSD when i bought it.

dont dump the clutch and watch for wheelhop.I dumped the clutch the other night a little to fast, caught some rough pavement and boom.I grenaded one axle and blew the diff out of the tranny in a matter of 2 seconds. The axles were almost brandnew [1500miles] and the tranny had 100,000 miles with no problems shifted really nice etc.I learned a good lesson about honda trannies. The car is a D16 with a T25 at 10-11psi so it has at best 200flywheel horse.

Everyone always rates axels for power. Doesn't weight play a role too?

I would imagine weight would be a factor especially weight of rim/tire combo because that is what your turning.D16 diffs suck i just blew another since my above post.

Damn dude...didn't learn from the first one huh? Next time, get a lsd, and don't dump the clutch on it lol. Probably doesn't help too much either if you got some big honkin rims on it.
