i was walkin through a local pick and pull and i popped the hood of an old school 300 zx and i saw something that caught my eye. i dont know what you would call it but its shapped exactly like a turbo but it has a starter motor type thing and works off a 12v power source. the inlet is about 3 inches and its made of plastic but shapped like a turbo.

 

Sounds like you found one of those rare JDM electric turbo's. They sell them on Ebay for about $45, lol

 

go offer the guy at the yard $2 for it :P

 

What do you think caused the 300 to end up in the yard in the first place?

those come stock on NA oldschool z's... serve only a purpose of putting hot air in the intake system to help warm up a bit i guess... i thought the same thing when i saw them. no there not the ebay turbo lookin bullshits

 

ok. i was gonna buy it and sell it to some dumbass but i would feel bad. actually it would be kinda funny.
