Well as some of you know ive been having some ignition issues or whatever it is with my boosted engine. I installed a new distributer today but it acted the same. I never had this issue with the p13 so Im starting to think my engine does not like the chipped p28. I put a timing light on the engine and I noticed that the light on number 2 cylinder would pause and continue flashing which to me means that the spark is acting eratic. Here is a video clip of what it sounds like. Any ideas would be greatly apreciated

did you ever change your plug wires?

so you were just hooking up the timing gun to each plug wire to see how it was sparking? did you change your cap and rotor when you put the new dizzy on?

 

thats the loudest h ive ever heard. ehh just old lma. sounds like it idles normal. hard to trouble shoot the problem without actually being there.

 

nah just needs a valve adjustment, havent been around to it yet, im hopin josh still has his p72 I want to throw my chip in it and test it out

 

 

The distributer is brand new, as is the cap and rotor.

 

okay just checking because when i bought a new dizzy from autozone it didnt come with either or. but then again i had to exchange the bitch 5 times and still didnt get a good one so i got my money back. its really hard to say why the sparking is so eratic. i just dont see how the ecu can be casuing this. my buddy has a chipped p28 on his h22 with no problems. but then again. their not all alike. im stumped
