Does anyone know what a DSM 16g turbo's wastegate opens up at? And also would this wastegate work on a Garret T3 Turbo? Thanks alot guys and any help on this as soon as can be would be appreciated.

 

i think on my friends talon, when he got a big 16g evo 3 turbo, it was at like 10, correct me if im wrong, like 8-11 or somthin, somtimes it was different, or his boost gauge is werid, if u make it so it will open the flapper on the turbo than it will be fine, it might be a little longer or shorter, but some people have used springs on there turbos lol, to acutate the wastgate. or u can just weld the flapper up and buy and external wg and be mag tight . so didnt u have a ls/vtec? wtf happened to it? i have one lol, i dont rev it past 8500, and its built for reving

 

Also out of curiosity, are the T25, 14b and 16g turbo wastegate's all the same psi(he wouldn't want to go over 10psi at most but would like to get 10 all the time.) Yeah I've got a High Comp. Ls/Vtec still. Some time's my Bro inlaw will get on here and post up some stuff for his own project's under my name, Infact this Q is for him. His car is and motor are the one's that burnt up in the garage fire a few months ago ( https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=40726.0 )and now he's got a 94 Ex coupe with the D16Z6 and is trying to peace together a turbo kit to enjoy it for this summer, which is takin him a while since the Ins. Co didn't give him any $$$ from it, so if any one has some parts he could get for cheap or less then I'm sure he'd be greatful. But, yeah I just ran my ls/vtec tonight for the first time with my new injectors tryin to get the car tuned down, she held even after the near 10K rev

 

lol, crazy 10k, i only rev to 8500, but i have some goodies coming, somt itbs all ready and idk what type of cams to get yet, what kind are u runing? and whats your complete setup, details yo, i ran a 14.2 the other day with my all motor ls/vtec, with no slicks. its high cp, and has some mods, but i need to get some more, i hope when i get all my ---- and its tuned, ill make a littl over 200whp, but when i get tired of it i still have the block im building for turbo to throw in under it . u have aim? whats the name if so.

also i have a dsm side mount intercooler, and a dsm 1g bov flange, i want like umm, 70shipped for both, i might be able to get a rhb5 and a hf mani maybe, ill tell you wahts up, but i have the smic and bov for sure.

 

how much would you take for the 1G BOV w/flange and the HF manifold? I know that's what he'd be most interested in, especially if you could get him the mani and let us know asap since he's watching some on ebay.(his aim sn is suprafinatic and mine is shanervaughn) we definalty got to talk about setup's cause i could only squeak out a 14.4 last night my car is untuned though hmmm so hit me up on aim asap would be cool to swap info on the high cr ls/vtec's

 

16g waste gate = 11-13

14b wastegate = around 9.5

 

 

ALL TDO5h (14b, small/large 16g, 20g) wastegates are at 9psi.

No more, no less.

If your getting more or less boost it is for a number of various other reasons.

 

I beg the differ on that one. Maybe I am wrong. But I know for sure I had a 16g wastegate on my car when I had my 16g on there, and it was like 11.5 all the time. Too much for my single cam, so I put on my old 14B waste gate, 9.5.

 

i beg to differ aswell the evo 8 has a 16g and it boost 19lbs stock so to say all boost 9 is wrong
