well it seems the condition of the turbo is getting worse. i find oil residue in the BOV opening and if i get on it even a little bit, a puff of smoke comes out of the tailpipe. i'm taking it easy right now but it still smokes a bit, especially when i switch from 2nd to 3rd gear.

the turbo is a greddy tdo5h18g. i bought it used with a -4an feed line so i put a restrictor in and it still does it so i'm sure the seals are toast. it seems there's only one place that rebuilds turbochargers locally so i called them today and they quoted me $900 for parts and labour so SCREW THAT!

anyone wanna trade me, plus cash, for a good condition 18g turbo ?

 

or any turbo that will bolt up to a greddy manifold... i read that DSM mitsu turbos wont bolt up. is this true?
