Default oil pressure gauge?

ok so i have manual oil pressure gauges and for no reason one of them started squirting oil out right where it connects to the block?. kinda pissed me off and i was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this.
i think i am going to buy some electric ones, hopefully they will be more reliable.
