PISTONS FOR B18 TURBO ????????
Are the stock pistons on a b18a1 good for a turbo setup
And how about cylinder sleeves
Does anybody know much about them
Cuz i dont. like... how much are they...how hard to install, and will it have an effect on the coolant passages around the cylinder
?
......but really i wanna know about the pistons.

Stock will suffice. Be very careful of detonation though because you can kill ring landings. A friend of mine ran 11 lbs all day on stock LS internals with no problems.
About the sleeves, Not quite sure on those. I do know that over 15 lbs the stock sleeves with start to float.
Hope that helps...

Actually the stock LS rods are good to @ 500whp. We used to run those in our single cam drag car. It made 477 whp and those rods held in tight. We've built several others with stock LS rods and never any problems. And yes, my friend did have stock rods.
I've never heard that much on stock rods... but they can take a severe amount of horsepower. As stated above, stock cast pistons are pretty weak, and any type of detonation the ring lands can easily crack. Forged pistons like J.E/Wiseco are the way to go, just dont go to big on stock sleeves
