Default need some help asap so i can get the show on the road

For any of you who know im currently boosting a h22a. Tonight I have run into a little snag. I need to figure out how im going to run my drain line. My question is can I tap the oil pan anywere on the pan? Or only were the only pan dips down the farthest. Lastely does the length on my drain line matter? I know my kit came 12 inch but i might need double that. Basically the downpipe is in the way. I realize this is gen d but I need to get this bs done

length doesn't matter, mount it as high as you can on the pan. That is all now someone post ****

hole above the oil level in the pan, doesnt matter how long the return is. Just try to keep it at a downward angle, gravity owns you.

here:

JB weld to the rescue.

it isnt that hard. "mock up your turbo" i.e. put the turbo on the manifold and put the turbo/manifold on the engine. then line up in a striaght line that drains downward but so it doesnt flow into the oil (it needs to drain above the oil level in the pan) so just guess and go with it, or you can put 4 quarts of water in the pan and see how far up it is and go from there. its pretty commom sense really.

the return line on the h22 we're working on right now is in the upper portion, not where the pan dips down.

thats what I wanted to here. The way in which the turbo is positioned doesnt allow me to use the largest section of the oil pan. Im going to have to use the section that is an inch an a half thick more towards the flywheel. Ive a ton of drain lines but nothing this tight
