Default Quick question, Im wasting gas quicker......

latley. I notice when iam driving, and i pick up speed the gas gauge will drop down alittle bit. Once i come to a stop or i ease up off the gas it will rise back up. The car is a 90 civic si, and the motor is the single cam zc from the same year. The ecu isnt flashing any codes. Ohh and about three months ago i had the piping of the exhaust changed because it had a hole in it. The new exhaust can that was put on is smaller than normaly it should be. Oh and in the mornings when iam warming up the car i can smell the cat burning up.

Any replies will be helpfull. THANX

Is this a joke or are you just ------- stupid? Use some common sense. Read what you have written and try to think about why this might happen. If it takes you more than 5 seconds to come up with your answer, the easiest way to fix this problem is to:

1. Get a rag/sock

2. Soak the rag/sock in Gasoline

3. Remove the gas cap and place the gasoline soaked cloth into the hole

4. Light the the end of the rag on fire

5. Climb into the trunk

Problem solved. Good luck

hahahah. wow.. dont you realise when you hit the gas the gas moved to the back of the tank and makes the floater fall alittle. and when you stop all the gas goes to the front of the tank and raises it?

ya sure i know that but for a full gas tank to drop more than a 3rd down on the gas gauge is not right.
