my buddy has a d16a6 transmission off a crx si, 4.35 final drive, i wanna know will it bolt into my d15b7, 4.08 final? i know the z6 and y8 trannies will work, i'm wondering does the a6 have the same bolt pattern, etc. as the z6/y8? he swapped for a b, and said he'll get rid of it for $100. i just wanna make sure it'll fit b4 i jump on it.

 

if its in a 92+ civic no it will bolt up bu7t the mounts are way off

 

ok, what if i just swap the final drive, differential ring gears, and countershaft? i could retain the hydraulic setup and shifter linkage, without worrying about mounts, etc. its off a 91 crx si.

 

i dont think it would be worth the hassle. i'd just find a y8 tranny

 

saving over $100 is definitely worth my hassle. the cheapest anybody has a y8 tranny round here is $250-300. thats with hundreds of thousands of miles. this one has 80k, and works great.
