Default Engine Lacks power and RPM, Help me guys.

----, for the last 3 days I've been ------- with the timing because I thought that is where my problem lies, but I guess its not, my build D16Z6, Vitara pistons wont rev to 7k like its intended to, now i'm assuming its because of the low CR of 8.5:1, but some people say no its not, some people say i'm blowing out my spark, I have no idea what the hell is going on, I cant rev past 5500 RPM when i'm driving. what do you guys think my problem is. i've checked everything, ECU, Cam Timing, Injectors, I got a brand new set of NGK plugs gapped correctly, and still not going past 5500 RPM.

This is pissing me off. my one buddy who knows his ----(smart guy) told me that maybe since the car is still NA it will do that because its not making enough power without the turbo to rev higher, So please help me out guys, i'm gonna give up on this soon.

no problems get better with boost, if it wont rev past 5500, 8 psi is not going to help, low comp or not.

my friends car did about the same thing before the motor blew, we still haven't torn it apart so I don't really know what happened yet

What does it do at 5500? Does the power back off? Does it feel like it hits a wall?

Lacks power at 5500, everyting till 5500 is fine, I dont know what the hell is going on, everyting was torqued down correctly, everytyhing was assembled correctly, so I dunno, i'll ---- some more with it tomorrow, hopefully that solves my problems, as for timing, I messed with timing for the last few days, retarting it and advancing it and nothing works.
