I wouldn't waste my time getting anything that doesn't have a gas option. Shielded wire will get the job done but won't look pretty and can be very frustrating to weld with. IMO, not the tye of tool to cheap out on. Expect to pay over 500 once you add a helemt, gas any other accesories.

a mig can make nice looking welds with practice, if not you can always grind them down.

 

uhh, I SUCK at welding and you can't base my welds on this machine. Infact I've never welded before and I still got the pipes done. I grinded down all my welds so you wouldn't be able to tell anyway.

 

so works good for exhaust and ---- then huh?

 

I would say so. Especially for the price. But don't expect some great machine just one that does the job.

if youve got mad skills you can arc them
