Transfer turbo from different car to civic
my friend has a vw passat 1.8 liter turbo. he is going to get a new turbo for his car and has agreed to give me the stock turbo he is taking off. I have a 2001 civic (1.7 liter vtec). i was wondering if it was even possible to put his old turbo on my car, and if it is what engine components i will need to buy? and if i need a new computer chip how much it might cost? thanks

read up buddy...yes you can put a turbo from another car onto your car. For low boost, you wont need any engine components (ie: internals) but as far as fuel management goes on the 7th gens, you need to look it up since i dont know ---- about them.

with that VAFC and Injectors deal, thats all self tuning though..any good places to get someone who knows how, to tune stock ecu properly? then get like 440cc injectors? placement of the turbo itself will be difficult due to the lack of free space. what should be moved? thanks, (im that guy whos givin him the turbo)
