how much shaft play side to side would you say is tollerable in a turbo?
and if there is too much, how hard is it to rebuild it?

 

you pretty much need these tools and a Complete kit

 

it's not too hard..but depending on the turbo and the price you paid...sometimes it's cheaper just to get a new one.. i.e. no reason to rebuild a 60 dollar junkyard snail, and when you buy a new one..take your old one and waste money building a propane jet turbine..lol

 

Sounds easy enough, when should it be rebuit, how much play?
