how do u tell if obd1 or 2

my friend got a gsr motor and we are trying to find out if its obd1 or 2.

check the stamp on the head
the first 2 numbers say what year it was made

the head is obd1 but the block?
it has a sencer on the crank.
the obd1 ls does not have it and my d16y obd2 has it
