Well...there has always been this so called bad luck or mystery as to why all the civic/crx's with the y49 yellow paint code....well since i work at for a ppg platinum distributor here in kansas city...i looked up the y49 paint code...now keep in mind that honda has varients in there paint when manufactured because they were painted at different plants...1 varient of y49 has a color called " DMD 666 " in it....go figure....

anyone care to comment or discuss...anywho...i believe i solved the problem.

I've never heard about a curse on yellow honda's. Now those old purple neons, theres a curse.

 

Thats pretty funny, and i think ive gotten that shade twice so far, from both my y49's.

 

hmmm I'm on steve's side on this one. Never heard this ---- in my life. Does it work if you have a blue honda that you'll be depressed or something? I knew there was something different after I got my hatch

 

ive heard of the yellow honda curse... Black hondas dont seem to have that curse

Its an old geocities page. Ive got the t-shirt, ive grwon to like the y49, but damn, theres just something about it, to many "coincidences" (sp?) for me not to beleive the curse. Oh, and its not just yellow honda's, y49 was only offered on 88-90 crx si's. Dont ask me why i like it either, its a weird yellow.
