Default Computer peoples, I need your help

Well I downloaded a couple Dvd's off of bittorrent, I'm using Dameon tools to mount the .img file to a virtual drive and am using PowerDvd to play the movies. When i'm playing the movie, about every minute or so the audio and video start skipping. I'm almost positive that it's not my memory, but I'm thinking it could be a codec

yeah i would try getting a new codec... just see what kinda media it needs to play through like.. mp43, mpeg, XViD, DivX, nero....
then just download the one you need.

usually thats just a fucked up download, like you got 5677 out of 5700 pieces. is it like 60 seconds good, then five seconds fucked up, in a repeating pattern? if so, redownload and try again. i have pretty much every codec out there, and i still have this problem sometimes. bittorrent is so ------- slow, but they got some pretty good ---- on there.

The file is mpeg 2, and I'm pretty sure I have alll the codecs, and it does this on all three of the movies I've downloaded pretty often

I don't have a dvd burner, could it be because the file is so big, and it's constantly streaming it off the hard drive?

It sounds like your missing a AC3 codec or something. Try downloading this program called gspot (i know). It basicly breaks down a videos and tells you if you need a codec or if the file is corrupt. Download here: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/gspot221.exe

Also if you dont want to find, download and install codecs one by one.. try a codec pack. I use Ace Mega codecs (It includes gspot). If you want to see what all it supports click here. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...oDecS_Pack.htm
Download here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=297&s=83

Running a DVD image off your hard drive (even a slow hard drive) should be more crisp for quality then a DVD disc. After all, your computer doesnt know its not really a DVD. Your computer just knows it loads really freakin fast and its always there.

well since everything is loaded into ram, unless you have allot, its going to bog down a bit. ive done this a couple times. if you burn it a dvd image, use a program to shrink it down to something that is actually viewable. like an avi file or something.
