I've got 91 SI crx. It's got a shitty turbo setup with an fmu on it, i went to go start it today and the ------- thing won't idle. It starts up then shoots to around 1500 rpm and then it slowly goes down until it dies. If i give it any gas the car sounds almost like somebody shut it off until i let off the gas then it will go back to running and slowly die. WTF?

 

what else is in your setup? what injectors?

so when did this start happening? after you put on your turbo kit?

 

it happened once on the free way, my car just started losing revs and shut off when i came to a stop, had it towed, then tried to start it and it ran fine for about a week, then i parked it for a couple days and went out to try and start it again, starts up then slowly bogs down, if i even think about touching the gas it dies... it's not the ignitor, i just shocked the ---- outta myself, I haven't checked to see if the sparkplugs are it but I'm guessing not, cause now it won't even turn over to idle, it just tries to the whole time. I'm listening to the fuel pump, it's definately there but it sounds gayer than usual, by gay I mean it's a weaker sound. are these symptoms of a dying/dead fuel pump? I've got a hiflow pump waiting to get put on but I wasn't sure if i needed anything addition to run the hiflow. Tell me now before I get angry!, j/k.

Check your plugs and see what they look like.

 

they look dark

 

sounds like a fuel problem. check to make sure fuel is going to the injectors.
