ok so im thinking about purchasin another crx, an 89 si. the guy that has it now somehow locked his only key in the car, and decided to break into it. well he ripped the door handle/lock out of the passenger side door. so he put the handle back in, but it doesnt have a lock anymore. my question is: can i use the whole doorhandle/lock assebmly from my 91 hatch and put it on the CRX? i would have to use 2 keys, but i dont care.

 

what a newb, I used to get into my crx with a peice of cardboard. :P

well if you take the lock apart you can "re-key" it to fit your current keys, when my car got broken into the thieves jambed the locks i went to the junkyard got some locks out of another honda took it apart and swapped over the "inserts" from my busted lock and now all my locks still match.......its not that hard pm me if your interested in doing that

just try it i would think it would but those damn civics are always looking like crxs but the parts dont fit.
that guy was stupid it takes like .5 seconds to get into a crx

 

id bet they'd work.. swap both sides from your civic to the crx so u can use 1 key only.

 

Yes, I am pretty sure they fit, as a matter of fact, I believe you can get the rear handles off of a 4 dr and put it on the CRX/Civic front doors, thus eliminating the keyhole alltogether
