Default Project Beater Officially Done - Almost..... (New Snail and other parts added)

I finnally finished the install this past weekend. There are a few things to work out. I have to fab up a mount bracket for the coolant overflow resevior. I also have to clean the engine bay like nobodies business. It has been sitting in my driveway for a year and has collected quite a bit of dust, dirt and grime. I also found out my $30 junkyard T3 is junk, so I am going to pick up a new turbonetics later this week. Anyway, here are a few pics of the beater.

My homemade manifold...

My attemp and success at TIG'ing mild to cast...

Oil Distribution...

Again...

Overall Shot...

Engine Bay with my uber cheap Bosch BOV from a Porsche believe it or not...

Again...

Again...

Everything was built from scratch in my garage with the exception of the intercooler . Not bad for ~$500.

I had to shave a bit off of the elbow to make it clear the block. I used the stock sabb pipe with flared end and it worked out super slick.

Those chargepipes are nice and I don't see any welds on them anywhere! Was it mandrel bent from a single piece of tubing? Either way nice setup for 500.

They are just JC Whitney bends that I welded together. My first job was in a bodyshop so I ground down all of the welds and used a sandable primmer on all of the welds. It is a real thick primer that is applied like filler. It sands down very smooth. I had fun with this project. I have an idea in my head of twin turbo'ing an 89-91 fox body mustang. I think that would be fun.
