Has anyone else had the problem of the zeitronix WB datalogger crashing the compuiter whilst logging? Mine keeps ------- up, I think the data speed might be too fast so im gonna try slowing it down but has this happened to anyone else and what did you do to sort it out, TIA, Pete

 

Hasnt happened to me and I've tried it on two different laptops. you might have a faulty OS.

 

thats not related to the zeitronix or the software.

start with attempting to uninstall and reinstall the software

after that look into issues with your OS. probably need to re-install windows.

 

------- computers, Its two years old and it cost me an arm an a ------ leg, I guess its time to buy a new one.

I reinstalled windows and formatted the hard drive a couple of weeks ago, and it worked ok then it started freezing on me so i did it again last night and went for a bit of a log and it went funny and rebooted and just fucked up.

I should have done what i was going to do and thrown the ---- out of my window

 

Are you using a USB to serial adapter?

I am having the same problem with mine... As soon as I hit enter to stop logging, I get a blue screen with some sort of error message.

I can't figure out what's wrong!

I don't know if I should change the com port settings or what. I can't figure it out! Help!

 

I tired using the USB to serial adapter from a local computer store and it didnt work on like 3 different latptops. I was pissed cause I wanted to tune my buddies car. A good friend happend to have a 7 year old laptop that had a serial port on it, it worked flawlessly. I was really happy, but tunning in the day is hard cause the sun hits the screen and its hard to see lol. Are you using an adapter? That could be the issue or your OS system.

Yes, I am using a serial to USB adapter... I figured out a solution to the problem...

I was only having problems when I hit enter to stop logging, then I would get the blue screen error and I would have to restart my computer...

So, instead of hitting enter, I just unplugged the USB from the back of the computer... it would stop logging, I then saved my log, plugged the USB back in, hit enter to start logging again, and then pulled the plug to stop etc...

I repeated this procedure while tuning last saturday and ended up doing about 30 pulls without another problem
