question for you guys, from 6 - 8000 rpm my car makes a hissing sound from the engine or something, it like a tsst!! sound it doesnt sound like pinging or anything, kinda like air excaping or something, the damn thing is running lean isent it?

Your filter coud be barely hanging on to your intake... or..... ur turbo is just damn loud at that rpm band..

 

i dont know, it only happens at high rpm, but it sounds like my car is missing or something, it just sounds dangerous like my engine is going to explode or something, im only running 5PSI though on my b16a2

is it a hissing or a sound like a water hose being squeezed into a V and the water shooting out?

could be detonation, could be your intake, could be a normal noise for your turbo...

 

Dude it could be anything,

 

i have the exact same problem as you man. I hear this weird hissing sound. then i tighten all the screws in the intake manifold then the sound stopped.
