my iac is working fine its stable but the promblem i have is that it idles really high. i thought it was my tps so i reajusted it to .47 on close throtle. i even retarted the ignition all the way max so that it can idle lower.. the idle skrew is twisted tight. i even changed throttle body to a stock working ls one.changed all vacumm lines.btw i have a obd1 gsr swap and currenty idling at 1500 rpms

 

i still bet its an iacv problem

 

has it always done this? or just recently?

maybe you got some vacume lines mixed up

 

wheni first did my b16 swap my idle was stable as well, at 2600 rpm changed the iacv and it was fine...

 

hm.. i guess i might have to change the iac then.. i'll keep yall updated on that one.. cant never find one that fits a gsr. why cant they use the same ones as the civics like the ls does. anyhow i'm going o mess with the fast idle air and give info on that too ... someone told me that it can be a problem since the idle its not jumping up and down.

have you taken it off and cleaned it?

 

o yea i cleaned that sucker up.. including the whole manifold and throttle body b4 i did the swap.. the only thing i didnt clean or change is the piston rings and rod bearings.. but i changed all seals. could i messed it up by over cleaning it cause i soaked it in that throotle body cleaner for a while too..

 

ok i got a new working working idle air controler. prob is when i installed it. the basterd idles becomes jumpy. the tps got not messed up. and the idle is still high.. what to do next?? i'm going to try to adjust the tps again.. but what else can i do..

 

that basterd cant sense the throttle possition anymore for somereason.. i cant cruise either i'm not touching the pedal or i'm stomping on it. i even put everything back to the original way when it was idling high but it wont go back to normal anymore just jumps up and down.the tps is still set at .49 and i even changed it to .32 like some sites.. what works for me is at .62 but afterwards the car idles at 2800 rpms. even higher than what i started with. i got all new vacum lines so there should be no leaks. that pop can trick didnt work either. what can i do now. i took that iac off of a running car that have no problems.
