i think this was a recent thread but i could not find it, sorry guys. but does anyone run a 2.5 or 3 str8 back to a muffler? i am trying to figure out what to do, and i want to know if that would be too loud, and if i should get a resonator or highflow cat. just wanted to see what everyone had and how they liked it.

 

I have 2.5" back into a 2.25 with a no name ricecan(no cat, no res.) and it's pretty damn silent. From what I have notcied, a turbo car will be quieter than a N/A car with the same exhaust.

I've got a 2.5" to 3" downpipe to a 3" thermal(no cat and no resonator). Its definitely not quiet, but its not too loud. And Dr. Boost made a good point, a turbo will quiet down a car. My car would be louder if it was n/a. I think it sounds good and I'm happy with.

 

still got my stock pea shooter :P

 

3 inch downpipe to a 3 inch k teller with no cat or resonator to a 3 inh apexi turbo muffler.

 

running open header n/a right now, no cat or res, louder than god dam ----, not a single bit of rasp but itll pop a few times on hard downshifting

Definetely gets to much attention though, unbelievably loud

 

2.5" straight through side exit,no silencers or nothing.
The higher the revs..the louder it gets,but it doesn't get obnoxiously loud and the spooling sound is wicked.
We did a video last night,when the dude's done editing and ---- i'll post a link on here.

 

no down pipe is loud as ----.

i gotta get some kind of exhaust on soon.
i plan on doing what dr boost did.
