new here. few questions about my turbo project
hi new here and thought maybe some of you might have some answers.
first off here is what i'm working with
96 civic dx (d16y7)
d16y8 im
14b turbo
hf manifold
hks sqv(not ssqv old school hks
)
dsm side mount(or possible front mount)
honda 240 cc injectors for now rc 310's soon after its up and boosted
vortech 12:1 fmu til its custom tuned
will it be ok just cruising around not really going into boost until i get the bigger injectors and tuned?
what fuel pump would you suggest?
and on a tuned stock d16y7 is 10 psi safe on a good motor?

With an fmu I'd suggest a Walbro 255 fuel pump and 10lbs with a 14b will be fine with a good tune. Why not just wait until you get what you need and not have to fiddle with an fmu.

what djfob is correct. but you might want to look into getting some DSM 450's and resistor box/inline resistors instead of the rc's when the time comes along. should save you some money

I agree w/ the other guys save ur $ and get it done one time. Dsm inj. would be a better way to go and the fmu wouldn't be a good fuel management to choose. Read up on the engine management section it will help w/ ur kit.

i am getting the rc's of a friend of mine so i'm not worried about price. and its getting harder and harder to wait for this damn project its been on the backburner for ever. about how much does that fuel pump run? and where could i buy one?

I don't think you should use those 310cc injectors with the fmu. You aren't going to have anything to scale those injectors and you will run very rich..espescially out of boost.

the rc's were going to be when it was tuned the fmu was just for the 240cc injectors. i'm not going to drive it much like that just to get a muffler and then tuned. it was just going to be a day or 2 i just want it all together its not my primary car so it won't really be driven.
