DIY Manifolds

Any tips on a person that is starting to make their own maifold? What piping is the best to use? Is there any different kind of welding material I should get? Thanks

I used schedule 40 but 10 is better.

I can vouch that this kid cannot make a manifold. He never searches for anything and this thread is an example of that since the answer to this question is in the FAQ
