Wanted to get some opinions of what size dp and exhaust i should run...


stock d16z6, 14b, 2.5 charge pipes, jrc 5"fmic,450cc inj, neptune 8-10psi..

should i get 2.5 dp - 3" exhaust
or

3"- all the way ..

oh and im using the stock o2 housing..

please leave opinions

 

bigger the bettr 3 inch if u can fit it

 

Hotrex is right you cant go to big, but your not going to see any gains from a d series going from 2.5 to 3inch on the down pipe. just make sure you use manderal bends not crush bends

 

yea the exhaust shop im goin to has a bending machine..

i saw in some other post while i was searching..

if u run to big of a downpipe w/ internal wg
it makes the turbo spike..? b/c there isnt enough backpressure on the wastegate.. idk if this is true

maybe someone else on here does.. im new to turbo's this is my first setup

with that setup I'd go 2.5, spiking won't be an issue with that size

 

ok so 2.5 dp into 3" the rest of the way... i just have to check the inlet size on the muffler i got.. hopefully its 3" so i can run 3" al the way back.. if not ill get a magnaflow oval can.. thanks for the suggestions


and about e test.. i know some1 who will pass me.. and if not ill jus throw my stock setup on before the test

 

Just like hotrex said your better off with 3inch all the way.I would if you can

might get some boost creep, thats if its 3inch all the way threw, no cat or anythinf like that. "MIGHT" key word

but i would get 3 inch anyway
worst comes to worst, throw a cat on it(but that kinda takes away of the hole performance thing of it), or go external for a wastegate
