ok im trying to figure this uberdata out and im haveing no luck with the chip burner and i want my car to run and not
load up and chug black smoke the burner has a computer plug that comes out of it and my home computer dont have a plug that will take this do i need a new computer or what where does it go and it has the option for dc power or usb port power i under stand the power part of the burner this ---- is makeing me want my fmu and missing link back please help

 

So is it a serial plug or a USB? You can get adapters to do either. If hooking up the burner is difficult maybe the FMU is your best bet! :P

 

Bring your burner and your computer to CompUSA or BestBuy and tell one of the guys that you want to connect this (hold up burner) to this (hold up computer) and then see what he says.

this is prolly what you need. i got mine from radioshack and been burning chips ever since

i have the standard willem burner.if yours is usb then you need somthing else

 

You need a USB to DB9 adater or vice versus.

he already got his questino answered, but the willem interfaces through the printer port. The only reason the willem uses a USB is for power. But the DB9 isn't powered that I know of, so the adapter woudln't work.

 

Makes me even more glad I bought the Moates!

 

sucks for you.. i got mine for 55 shipped and it came with an eraseable eprom, usb power cable, parallel port cable, the programmer, and a cd... :P
