So ive been tryin to decide what to do. Well ive got a guy giving me a preety good price on an ls swap. my only concern is the transmission with it being an ls and being long geared is the acceleraton really going to suck. I plan on going ls vtec if i do ill swap the transmission for s1.

 

the gears suck but cable vtec trans are worth gold these days

get the 2nd gen gsr tranny very good for acceleration. but like chris said worth gold, will spend a good amount on it from 300-500 I think. Friend of mine bout his for 400, but it was worth it.

with boost, the longer gears seem to become shorter...


or make 350+whp and dont worry about the long gears


get the ls swap and keep the tranny as a backup and pick up another tranny and you'll be set.

 

i think jeff is using a LS tranny.

you COULD get a hydro vtec trans and get a hasport conversion

 

hydro vtec trans 600+ cable vtec trans 500+ thats what they go for these days you find a deal jump on it

 

the hydro is suppose to be a lot stronger also
