well i dropped the y8 in my 91 si, everythings hooked up right, and its running like ----,... ive been trying to tune it with my safc2 and its still running like ----, like if i go to get on it,... it like jumps and lags, like it wont go,.. and around 2nd gear, it just gets on it till like 2300 rpm's then stays there,.. ***** pissn me off,.. also, nows its cold, itll take me like 15 mintues of cranking to get it to run, somtimes even sraying nitrous in the intake to get it to fire!

 

Sounds like the timing is fucked.

 

nope,.. times good,... we checked around 13 times,.... still runs like ----,.. was idleing at like 530-780 rpms,.. now we got it to around 1000,... but dont know,... im about to push it in the river who knows, i know i need a new thermostat, but thats not it i was thinking map sensor?

 

was your afc hooked up before dropping in the y8? possible that you wired it in backwards. did you verify the wire colors via a shop manual? obd0 car/wiring...obd0 engine/head?? did you check the firing order? you said timing was ok, but you need a new t-stat...is it ever warming up?

 

yeah it'll warm up after a few, it's running better, i just keep ------- with the safc2, no it wasnt hooked up befor the engine. but whats gets me,... is somtimes when i get on it, its almost like i miss a gear,. but i dont,m.. i go into 2, and nothing,.. stays at like 2300 rpm,...
