why cant you chip a PM8?
why cant you use a PM8 from a HF to run turboedit? its a MPFI ECU... are there some hardware conficts or somehting? it should be about the same as a PM6 right? P05 and P06s are about the same...

because they dont have an external eprom to desolder and replace
sure you can desolder the MCU and put in a socket and an adapter board or wire up a separate board off the MCU without desoldering it to add the external prom, but thats a lot of work really

I have a PM8 right next to me..I opened it up and there is a external EPROM..
And what is weird is that it says PM7 on the inside of the plugs...maybe someone put a PM7 board in the PM8 case??
But the guy I got it from was running a D15 8v engine with it...
