Default beneficial to re-tq stock headbolts tighter or leave it alone

I think I won't even take the head off, but maybe tighten up the stock headbolts to 60 or 70 or something to hold some 8-10 psi on a 14b engine is a jdb d15b vtec custom everything made here

ehh.. I probably wouldnt do 70, 60 wouldnt hurt though. Just be sure to do them in the right order.

head bolts are torque to yeald bolts this means they stretch every time they are tightend if u tightend them aney more they will lose streiength and wond hold as well so get some AEBS or ARP head stutds

honda head bolts are torque to yield? lol thats news to me...

I don't know you're probably right but I think I'll tighten them down for reassurance. Thanks.

yes thats why u should replace them after a fiew uses acully after one use because the second time u torque them they arent as strong but aebs and arp are not torque to yeld,

I was being sarcastic, Honda Head bolts 88 newer are not torque to yield, and if the threads in the block are nice and clean each time you reuse them you should be fine. I've reused head bolts dozens and dozens of times.

What a joke, you don't need to tighten them, if they are holding a good seal they are holding a good seal. Honda head bolts torque to yield?, I've retorqued my stockers 3 times and they have 160K on them and I'm running 7 psi this time around. Seem to hold fine to me
