Is this normal? After turbocharging my baby, I don't notice the roar anymore, and the kick from Vtec seems to have gone away

Is this on a DOHC? I couldnt really hear mine over the open downpipe more info on the setup also.

I'm running a full exhaust. Have a filter on. Its a DOHC B16a.
Is it as load as before you guys went turbo?

 

Thats pretty normal, when you run open downpipe you will be able to hear it more. The reasons you dont hear it anymore, #1 the intake has pipes all the way back to the turbo, and thats usually where you hear it the most when NA. #2 The turbo is like a muffler and with a full exhaust system its really hard to hear out the tailpipe.

If you dont feel it as much, thats probably because your not running a big enough turbo, your downpipe is to small and is getting restrictive. A b16a with a good size turbo should rip pretty hard all the way to redline, even with stock cams.

why were you woried about v-tach( :P) if you've got boost now?

 

Are you sure you have enough oil pressure for vtec to engage?

 

like I said this is a pretty common question, and I wouldnt be worried about it at all. Crossover is just not as noticeable with a turbo (sound wise anyways)
